Today was our big Annual Meeting at the church. All members, congregants and guests were invited to attend our yearly business meeting. However, only registered members will be eligible to vote for our new Board of Trustees and/or various motions presented.
I am very happy and proud to say that we had a wonderful turnout–105 attendees out of our 155 registered members. We certainly had a quorum for voting.
All the reports and the 2010 budget were passed and ratified.
We elected two wonderful new Trustees to our Board: Sally Martin and Steve Janak.
Which by the way, their tenure will begin tomorrow at 5:00 p.m. at our first official Board meeting of the new year, with new Trustees.
Rev. Karen created a wonderful survey last week that helped us to understand how our methods of communication were being received and utilized. The results will be discussed elsewhere but what we learned is that our weekly e-blast and newsletter are the primary sources of information. And, this blog is not.
For the time being, I am going to let this blog take a hiatus. We will get news and information to our members via the regular channels. Then after we get moved and settled into our new digs, we will re-evaluate to see if there is a ‘market’ for our blog and how to use it best.
So, thank you to the readers who took the time to stop by and read up on us.
Blessings of joy.
